In this video, I discuss the recently announced move of Cities Skylines 2 for the new XBOX and PLAYSTATION consoles and what this means for the gaming community. In addition, I take a look at the game’s increased hardware requirements and speculate on the reasons for this. Considering the release practices of major studios in recent years, I question whether Cities Skylines 2 will live up to expectations upon its release. I draw parallels to other big-name studios that have released games prematurely and unfinished, and hope that Paradox has realized the mistakes the industry has made.
