Early Access Videos has shown us Modded players that we are in for a bumpy ride with Cities 2 during it’s early days. These are the top 5 mods that must be available at launch/game release to make the transition for CS modded players easy and basically make the game playable. This video also focuses on why these mods are required for decent play, basically due to a function that is missing from the base game.

The 5 mods shown, may not continue with that brand name, but it’s the functionality of that mod that is hopefully available on Game Day via Paradox Mods.

Also a huge shout out to all the excellent modders and asset creators that do such a wonderful job for the best City Simulation game series in the world.

In this video, I discuss the recently announced move of Cities Skylines 2 for the new XBOX and PLAYSTATION consoles and what this means for the gaming community. In addition, I take a look at the game’s increased hardware requirements and speculate on the reasons for this. Considering the release practices of major studios in recent years, I question whether Cities Skylines 2 will live up to expectations upon its release. I draw parallels to other big-name studios that have released games prematurely and unfinished, and hope that Paradox has realized the mistakes the industry has made. We’re finally going BIG. In Cities Skylines 2, once you grow your city, you start to encounter PROBLEMS that need to be fixed. Traffic, public transit, garbage, electric power, and much more, the larger your city gets, the more you need to consider. But you also get access to some MASSIVE buildings to play with that look GREAT.

In this video, we are going to grow the city to the Large City milestone and take care of the issues that arise with growth as well as fight with some of the quirks of the in game tools to attempt to create a nice looking layout for a large city with a lot of people. We start with a few lower density neighborhoods and move on to upgrading older neighborhoods to high density to bring in some skyscrapers.

With higher density comes more traffic, so we support this with an extensive subway system as well as make upgrades to the highway infrastructure.
